Chocolate Chip and Almond Butter Balls

Yay the weather is finally changing to spring!! Thank goodness because I was feeling the need to open my windows wide to stop the feelings of claustrophobia from occurring… Being pent up inside for months is no fun at all!

That being said, I needed a treat to celebrate the weather (:

These cookie dough bites were adopted from Love Veggies and Yoga!

Chocolate Chip and Almond Butter Balls

Yields 10 to 20 balls depending on size; I made 22 balls using a 1/2 Tbsp. scoop

1/2 cup raw almond butter

3 Tbsp. coconut flour (or another flour if you don’t have coconut)

3 Tbsp. coconut nectar (or any liquid sweetener)

1 tsp. vanilla extract

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

1/3 cups chocolate chips (or carob or cocoa nibs)


Combine all ingredients, except for chips, in a bowl and stir to combine completely.  Gently stir in chocolate chips and portion into balls.  They are very soft so I preferred placing them on a plate in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes to harden them up a bit.

P.S. Do you know what would make this even more fantastic?  Adding it to some Banana Soft Serve… Just like OhSheGlows!

    Mmmmm these look amazing. I remember my aunt used to make peanut butter balls when I was little and I’d literally eat like 20 of them and be ready to barf but they were soooo good. I’ll have to try these out!
